About James
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, James Morrison began his career at just 19 years old, training with L’Oréal at the prestigious L’Oréal Technical Centre in London’s West End and later South Kensington. That early foundation in technical excellence and creative discipline shaped the philosophy that still defines his work today.
James went on to become a pivotal figure in the expansion of TONI&GUY in the United States, bringing the brand to Orange County and serving as Artistic Director. During this time, he played a key role in building one of the most influential salon and education systems in the world.
His impact on education earned him global recognition, including being voted one of the top educators of the century by Modern Salon Magazine.
After decades leading large creative teams and international stages, James chose to return to a more personal side of hairdressing — working closely with private clients and dedicating time to mentoring salon owners and educators through his coaching programs.
